
I made this in 1994 for one of my oldest friends (hi Michelle!) and she has been making it for her family ever since. I hope it will become one of your faves too.

Pumpkin Cobbler & Fall Flave

- Baking pan 9"x13"
Ingredients
Filling
- 28 oz Pumpkin puree
- 1 cup Sugar
- 2 pcs Eggs
- 15 oz Evaporated Milk
- 2 tsp Fall Flave
Cake
- 1 box Cake mix Vanilla
- ½ cup Butter Melted
- ¾ cup Pecans Chopped
Instructions
Filling
- Combine in a large bowl and mix until incorporated.
- Pour into a 9"x13" baking pan.
Cake
- Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly over pumpkin mixture.
- Drizzle butter over cake mix. Gently run a butter knife back and forth across the top to mix pumpkin and cake mix together a little.
- Sprinkle pecans.
- Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with ice cream or solo.
Notes
- This is a real oldie but a goodie! I make my cake mix from scratch – it is SO easy. I list the box cake mix for this recipe because I don’t want you getting snarky with me for suggesting you get crazy and make something from scratch too. Those of you who know me were saying, “Of course you do Jorge” a minute ago. You know you were. Anyway, for a basic, easy cake mix – 2 cups of flour, 2 cups of sugar, 2 tsp baking powder, 1⁄2 tsp baking soda, 1⁄2 tsp salt. That’s it! REALLY. But, use the box if you really think you just can’t muster!
- This is such an easy, delicious recipe that can be thrown together in minutes. And if you’re feeling spunky, mix it up! Use cherry filling and chocolate cake! Or, apple sauce and spice cake! Or cranberry sauce and vanilla cake with almonds! You get the picture! Have a little fun. I give you a full artistic license.
